Kibale Forest National Park

Kibale is a tropical rain forest with other primates like bush babies, baboons, black-and-white colobus, red-tailed monkey, and several bird species together with trees including the Elephant beer tree, all can be spotted on a nature walk in the forest. Take a lunch break and head to Bigodi for a swamp walk on the trails by the local community.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Apart from wildlife experience, there are primates that you can track in Kyamgura gorge or in the nearby Kalinzu Forest or take nature walks in the Imaramagambo Forest in the Park.

Day 1,Arrival

Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by our driver guide for introductions and then transfer to your guesthouse. O/N: The Boma Guesthouse (BB)

Day 2,Entebbe – Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we will head out for Fort portal via Mityana and Mubende through tea plantations of Kyenjojo to the land of `mountains of the Moon’ magic silhouette for lunch. After a pleasant lunch head for the incredible Amere ga Nyinamwiru caves and search for missing breast of the Toro princes explore some crater lakes and carry on for a night in Kibale Forest Park for a jaunty sleep on an innate divan. Day 3,Kibale Forest National Park

Track man’s closest primates in Kibale forest the highly populated in the region. Day 4, Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

This morning after a hearty breakfast, we will depart for Queen Elizabeth Park, nourish on a tranquil lunch and there after go for a game drive in the park searching animals. O/N Kyambura Gorge Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge (FB).

Day 5,Queen Elizabeth National Park

Set off early in morning for a game drive in the Kasenyi area with vast number of animals of the pearl, visit Katwe salt lake and buffalos can never miss your sight here. Guinea fowls and other bird species, elephants, giraffes, and Kobs in their mating grounds can be viewed as there are chances seeing tree climbing lions on your rummage. After lunch take an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel as you view fauna at a closer range, hippos, other animals and several bird species will be seen as the get water to douse themselves. Day 6,Kyambura gorge – Ishasha

Visit Kyambura gorge in the morning and track chimps and monkeys as you take a view of the gorgeous Albertine rift valley model of scenery. Break for lunch and later later drive through Ishasha sector that is famous for tree-climbing lions to Kihihi. O/N: Savannah Hotel (FB).

Day 7,Ishasha to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park/Mgahinga

Today, after breakfast at the hotel, we will drive through the picturesque landscape of south western Uganda tor your hotel near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We will have a rest as we prepare for gorilla tracking the following day. O/N: Chameleon Hill Lodge or Travellers Rest Hotel (FB).

Day 8,Gorilla Tracking (Bwindi/Mgahinga)

Track gorillas after an early morning breakfast, this is the climax of the tour gorilla tracking can take 3 -9 hours on walking in the jungle before one returns to his/her accommodation. The jungle, precipitous landscape and rain may make the tour challenging but with a close encounter face-face with the largest primate of Africa is a remarkable experience you will ever have in life. Day 9,Batwa caves, Mgahinga National Park

Visit the pygmies’ caves in the rain forest and enjoy the experience of sharing with the Batwa people. Listen to the legends of Batwa culture a very inimitable culture you will ever meet on this planet, as you take a guided walk led by a pygmy, what an amazing experience. Return for lunch after which you will go for a Village guided Walk . O/N Travellers Rest Hotel (FB).

Day 10,Mgahinga National Park – Entebbe

After breakfast take a mild drive back to Entebbe through great East African Rift Valley Mountains and hills beautified by the “Gold of a Muhima man” via the “Milk city” through the dry corridor upshot the Rwenzori Mountain, stopover at the Equator and ensue to Entebbe, lunch en route. Day 11,Departure

Day 11: Departure Take your breakfast at leisure [depending on your flight time], transfer to Entebbe International Airport where you will board your flight back home. Optional: Take a morning visit to Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Situated 23km off shore from Entebbe, the Sanctuary was set up by a group of concerned organisations including Uganda Wildlife Education Centre and Jane Goodall Institute among others, to offer a facility for now about 50 orphaned chimpanzees to co-habitat in a near natural environment. From Entebbe there are regular trips to the Chimp Island. Travelling is either by a modified traditional Ssese canoe sitting up to 25 participants, or a faster motor boat sitting 8 persons. The beautifully forested tropical island is almost 100 acres in size and boasts over 50 different types of vegetation that the chimps utilize. Two main tourist activities are offered: chimp viewing from a raised wooden platform; or a walk to the chimp forest for closer contact with the legendary primates. Chimp walks in the forest require some medical conditions to be fulfilled. The entrance fees paid goes towards looking after the chimpanzees. Boat from Entebbe pier to Ngamba Island, Watch the feeding of the chimpanzees. [Approximate cruising time: 45 minutes for fast boat; 1 ½ hours for traditional boat] Return to mainland and Transfer to Entebbe international airport for your evening fight. End of Service
