Day 1,International flight - Antananarivo

On your arrival at Antananarivo, you are met and transferred to the hotel for the night. Overnight: Le Relais Des Plateaux It is a good 3 stars hotel close to the airport. This makes it convenient for late arrivals and early departures. Each room is ensuite with a shower. There is a pool, restaurant, and bar area (B)

Day 2,Antananarivo Tuléar

Today, you will be driven to the airport for your flight south to Tuléar. When you’ll arrive at Tuléar, you are met and transferred to the hotel for the night. So, after the installation at the hotel, your driver-guide will make you discover the city of Tuléar. Relax at the hotel after the flight. Overnight: Victory Hotel It is a good 3 stars hotel close to the airport of Tuléar. This makes it convenient for late arrivals and early departures. Each room is ensuite with a shower and air conditioning. There is a pool, restaurant, and bar area (B/D)

Day 3,Tuléar - Isalo

The 4x4 vehicle drives you at north to the sandstone massif of the Isalo National Park. Two days here to explore the canyons and plateaux of the massif with overnight accommodation at the luxurious Jardin du Roy. Relax at the lodge after the long drive. Overnight: Jardin du Roy It blends in perfectly with its natural surroundings. The rock bungalows are all ensuite with either a bath or shower and ventilator or air conditioning depending the period. There is a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a spa (B/D)

Day 4,Visit Isalo National Park

Today, you have the fantastic opportunity for some trekking through impressive canyons and along dramatic bluffs; Isalo’s topography has been sculpted over the years by wind and water and now lends itself to some quite fanciful shapes! A classic walk is along the Massif affording dramatic views and arriving late in the afternoon at "La Piscine Naturelle", a natural swimming pool formed in the rocks fringed by palm trees and forever topped up by a flowing waterfall. After a day out in the sun, it is hard to refuse. Travelers also have the option of visiting a variety of natural canyons in the area, horse riding or just relaxing back at the Jardin du Roy. There is no better way to finish the day however than to watch the sun setting through "La Fenêtre" a natural rock formation providing a window to the setting sun! Overnight: Jardin du Roy (B/D)

Day 5,Isalo - Ranomafana

Today you continue north into the highlands, stopping en route at the community-run Anja Reserve where it is possible to see ring-tailed lemurs playing amongst the granite rocks. Depending on your arrival you may have the chance to enjoy a leisurely walk inside the Ranomafana National Park. Overnight: Hotel Thermal It is one of the hotels led by The Relais Madagascar and is nestled on the green setting of the famous site of Ranomafana which thermal waters provide healing virtues unanimously recognized. Formerly a very busy health resort and after difficult years, the site can resume its activities through tourism today, without losing anything of its thermal advantages and natural environment. Day 6,Visit Ranomafana National Park - Antsirabe

Ranomafana National Park covers an area of 41,000 hectares and has dense rainforest of medium altitude with waterfalls and rapids. It is home to 12 species of Lemur including the golden bamboo. Lemurs are not the only attraction however with the park boasting an impressive 118 species of bird! A variety of trails and footpaths lead you through this dense jungle but it's the sheer majesty of the forest itself that makes the Park so beautiful. A variety of orchids, tree palms, and ferns, and a huge variety of geckos, chameleons, and beautiful little colored frogs make this a thoroughly enjoyable day. After the visit, depart for Ranomafana and head north stopping at the town of Antsirabe for the night. Overnight: Hotel Camelia The hotel has 11 rooms, each with ensuite bathrooms. Day 7,Antsirabe - Andasibe

This morning you have an early start to head further north to the Andasibe National Park. On your arrival at the lodge, you can take the time to relax or alternatively visit “Lemur Island” where previously captive lemurs now live a relatively free life. Overnight: Eulophiella A 3-star hotel is located in the heart of an area of a few hectares of a primary forest, reforested with fruit trees and typical plants of the region, still in a wilderness but with a tourist vocation, preserves the natural state of the place and its landscapes, offers the essential comfort that allows all visitors to enjoy a moment of relaxation during their stays. Day 8,Visit Andasibe National Park

You have a full day to explore Andasibe/Perinet National Park or Mantadia with your local wildlife guide. This is a mountain forest park offering the chance to spot a variety of lemurs, reptiles, and birds. One of its most famous inhabitants is the Indri, Indri - the largest of lemurs with a black and white teddy bear-like appearance. You hear the Indri before you see them and waking up to their songs of communication in the early hours of the morning with the mist still hugging the rainforest canopy is a highlight of your trip to the Red Island. It is best to leave early morning to be near the Indri when they make their distinctive morning group communication calls. Other lemurs which can be seen here are the red-bellied lemur, brown lemur, lesser bamboo lemur, nocturnal lemurs - brown mouse lemur, greater dwarf lemur (Sep/Oct-May), Eastern woolly lemur, sportive lemur, aye (seen once each year!). Day 9,Andasibe – Palmarium

This morning you set off east towards the Pangalanes Canals on the east coast. This is a series of lakes that were linked together to form a safe passage up the east coast. After a 45-minute boat trip, you will arrive at the Palmarium hotel. The rest of the day is yours at leisure to relax. Overnight: Palmarium 2-star accommodation with comfortable traditional bungalows equipped with a bathroom and a terrace overlooking the lake, they will make you live the magic experience to spend a stay in contact with nature, letting you be lulled by the sound of the forest and the waves. Day 10,Palmarium

For today, you will visit the Palmarium; it is a private natural reserve. This peninsula of 46 hectares gives a single outline of the fauna and the specific flora of Madagascar. And you go by boat to reach this peninsula. Here it is possible to see a family of the indri, Coquerel’s sifaka, black lemurs, crowned lemurs, black and white ruffed lemurs, and red lemurs. The rest of the day is yours at leisure. Overnight: Palmarium (B/D)

Day 11,Palmarium – Tamatave Antananarivo

From Palmarium you transfer a further 2 hours up the Pangalanes Canals past villages where you will see the children swimming, the women washing their clothes, and the men out fishing. This is quite a fun transfer as you pass these everyday Malagasy scenes. On your arrival in Tamatave, you will transfer to the airport for a flight back to Antananarivo. Overnight: Pavillon de l’Emyrne The hotel has 12 rooms: in a quiet and refined, the rooms individually decorated, garden view of the city, private bathroom, TV (satellite channels and local), telephone and personal safe, split air conditioning reversible hot-cold, WI FI, non-smoking hotel, smoking terrace and garden (B)

Day 12-16,Antananarivo - Nosy Be

Catch your flight northwards to Nosy Be. When you’ll arrive, the car from the hotel takes you along to the airport for your transfer. You are free to do what you want. You can inquire at the hotel about different hobbies and activities. Overnight: Jardin Vanille The eight lodges of 35 m² on stilts are built of local materials modeled on the local habitat: the wood, the Ravinia. They are very airy and will offer you all the comfort necessary for a pleasant stay. All rooms are equipped with fans. Bathroom 8 m², toilet, washbasin, shower, and hot water. Terraces of 8 to 10 m², with deck chairs, allow enjoying the garden while contemplating the sea (B/L/D)

Day 17,Nosy Be Antananarivo - International flight

Fly back to Antananarivo. After dinner, transfer to the airport for your onward flight home. Day use: Le Relais Des Plateaux (D)
