Day 1,Antananarivo

On your arrival at Antananarivo, a reception’s agent of Mada Hexagone accommodates and assists you. Then, you are transferred to Carlton Hotel for the night. Overnight: Carlton Hotel The Carlton hotel is situated in the hearth of Antananarivo and offers 171 rooms including 6 suites that overlook Lake Anosy or the semi-Olympic swimming pool. All rooms have a fully equipped marble bathroom, a TV with international channels, Wi-Fi and a safety box. (D)

Day 2,Antananarivo - Anjozorobe

Today you are going to Anjozorobe. Located at 2h30 drive from Antananarivo, in the town of Anjozorobe the Saha Forest Camp offers a beautiful setting in total harmony with nature. Nestled in the heart of a tropical rainforest and the establishment have 10 elegant "Tented Lodges' double with a terrace overlooking a verdant landscape. The restaurant and its large elevated deck will make you feel certain serenity. The nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts will be served thanks to its location inside a protected area. They can admire an exceptional fauna and flora, through thematic circuits, suitable for all rhythms. Overnight: Saha Forest Camp A 2 star camp with environment in mind, this Lodge offers for the visitors a comfortable accommodation, built to operate in full compliance with the surrounding nature. Day 3,Anjozorobe

After breakfast, you have the choice for a wide variety of activities, from hiking the easy walk up to walkers, with duration of 45 minutes to several hours. Your walks will take you through the forest or to the villages and the school, marked trails or with a confirmed local guide. The Anjozorobe forest corridor is a site which is recognized for its remarkable biodiversity. The last census conducted in 1999, more than 423 plant species were counted in the forest of which 65% are endemic and 11 species of lemurs have been identified. Overnight: Saha Forest Camp (B, L, D)

Day 4,Anjozorobe - Andasibe

This morning you have an early start to head further east to the Andasibe National Park. On your arrival at the lodge, you can take the time to relax or alternatively visit the “Lemur Island” where previously captive lemurs now live a relatively free life. Overnight: Vakona Lodge The 3 star lodge is designed in line with local Malagasy architecture. The ten bungalows and 14 double rooms offer the traveler the desired comfort of ensuite bathrooms, and verandas looking out. Warmed by the central fireplace the dining room offers views outside whilst keeping warm or alternatively one can relax on the veranda that overlooks the lake (B/D).

Day 5,Andasibe

You have a full day to explore Andasibe/Perinet National Park with your local wildlife guide. This is a mountain forest park offering the chance to spot a variety of lemurs, reptiles and birds. One of its most famous inhabitants is the Indri Indri – the largest of lemurs with a black and white teddy bear like appearance. You hear the Indri before you see them and waking up to their songs of communication in the early hours of the morning with the mist still hugging the rainforest canopy is a highlight of your trip to the Red Island. It is best to leave early morning to be near the Indri when they make their distinctive morning group communication calls. Other lemurs which can be seen here are the red-bellied lemur, brown lemur, lesser bamboo lemur, with nocturnal lemurs - brown mouse lemur, greater dwarf lemur (Sep/Oct - May), Eastern woolly lemur, sportive lemur, aye aye (seen once each year!). Overnight: Vakona Lodge (B/D)

Day 6,Andasibe - Antananarivo

After a final day in Andasibe National Park you head back to Antananarivo for the afternoon. Overnight: Carlton Hotel (B)

Day 7,Antananarivo – International flight

Today, after breakfast, the car brings you to the airport for the departure of your flight.
